During her time at BC as an undergraduate, Ellis worked with University Advancement, Campus Recreation, and the Office of Communications, contributing to a range of campaign and promotional video projects.
Her work included donor-focused content, student centered storytelling, and institutional videos highlighting the school’s community.

Velvet: The Short Film
Velvet (2026) is a short film directed by Lola Ellis and Frances Lee, featuring an original song, custom choreography, and a 30+ person crew.
Ellis helped lead content creation and social strategy across platforms, building Velvet into an engaged online community with consistent branding.
Work included “behind-the-scenes” featurettes, product photoshoots for original film merchandise, and designing a tangible companion magazine to extend the film’s world beyond the screen.
